Launch Angle
The specific framing or story perspective chosen for a product launch video.
A launch angle is the narrative approach used to present a product in launch content. The same product can be launched from multiple angles, each emphasizing a different aspect of the product story.
Common launch angles for SaaS products include: the founder story (personal origin, why you built it), the problem-solution angle (opening on the pain, showing the fix), the before-and-after (contrasting life without and with the product), the feature spotlight (focused demo of one capability), and the comparison angle (positioning against an alternative).
Choosing the right launch angle depends on the audience and the channel. A Product Hunt launch benefits from a founder story; a TikTok performs better with a problem-solution or demo-first angle. A LinkedIn launch works best with an outcome-led frame.
Testing multiple angles across different posts is the fastest way to find which resonates. A hook that performs on one channel may not translate to another.
