A Product Hunt tagline is the short description (60 characters maximum) that appears beneath your product name in the Product Hunt feed. It is the most-read piece of text on your listing after the product name, and it largely determines whether people click through.

Effective taglines name the specific outcome or transformation rather than the technology or feature set. They speak directly to the person who has the problem.

Strong tagline structure: [Verb] [specific outcome] for [specific person]. Examples: "Turn your product URL into a launch-ready video" or "Generate a full product spec from a rough idea."

Common tagline mistakes: using buzzwords ("AI-powered," "game-changing," "revolutionary"), naming the technology instead of the outcome, using vague beneficiaries ("teams," "everyone," "businesses"), and exceeding 60 characters (taglines are truncated in the feed).

The tagline is the single most-edited piece of copy in a Product Hunt launch. Write 20 versions.
